Hello to all my fishing friends out there! It won’t be long now! The “Just One More” will be back in the water by April 1 and that is less than 3 weeks away. We are already booked and planning to do some early winter flounder trips. I have been talking to some clammers and a commercial fisherman who say they are getting the flounder in their rakes and nets. So they are there. Some nice ones too, up to 3.5 lbs. Some striped bass are already being caught along the beaches in the back of the bay. That water warms up the earliest and the “Just One More” will be there in early April also. As we get closer to the season, charter dates fill up more quickly. Four were booked this week alone so I would suggest you reserve your bass date as early as you can so you get the date you want.
April weekend dates open to charter: {I think the 11th. just got booked}, 12, 18, 19, 26.
May weekend dates open to charter: 2, 3, 9, 10, 24, 31.
Weekdays and evenings are also available.
This season, a new trip has been added to the schedule. Extended day/ marathon multi species fishing. We’ll leave the dock at 6am. We’ll fish for striped bass, bluefish, fluke, back to striped bass and maybe even seabass if you like. We will return back to the dock at 5 pm. Hopefully you’ll be worn out from catching all those fish. Price for up to 4 anglers is $800.00. That is $200.00 per head for basically a full day trip and an evening trip combined. Hope to hear from you soon, email for more info on this trip.
Below you will find a picture of what looks like a giant bluefish, but it is a 25 lb. A. J. from Florida. Check out the rig with 7 egg sinkers! They sure do things different down there! What’s wrong with one or two large egg sinkers??
Thank you,
CAPT. RICH NEWALLIS JR.
