8-10-07 Today I had high hopes of getting back out to the fluke grounds off IBSP but we had to settle for the bay as the wind blew hard from the south and we stood a good chance of getting rained onat any minute. I had Mr. nd Mrs. Andrews on board this day and we managed to stay dry until mid afternoon and had a good catch of fluke over by the lighthouse, mostly shorts but with a few good keepers mixed in.
8-12-07 I fished in the Mako today for fluke in the Double Creek Channel and had a good catch of fluke . Most of the better fishing was at the end of the channel toward the lighthouse but the boat traffic on this great day, after a while was to much for me to take.I did manage a good number of fish and all were taken on peanut bunker.
8-13-07 I had the Steve Schuster party out on the ocean today for a day of fluke fishing. We fished off IBSP in 20-55′ of water, with a pretty good drift and had a lot of fish, mostly of the short side but we did had a good catch of keepers by the end of the trip. The highlight of the trip was a Dusky Shark that took a bunker that I had just snagged as a school came swimming by the boat. The bunker was intended for a bass that may have been hanging around the school but the shark gave us a good battle on a light spinning outfit. The fish was released at boatside.
