9-22-07 I had the “pro” back on board after a long hiatus from fishing. At first I thought that he forgot how to fish ,especially when all the other anglers had two fish on every time there lines hit the bottom.I overlooked all of his obvious problems until he busted his knuckles when his real broke again, somethings never change and my suggestion was to finally put the “cyclops”to rest on the ocean floor. He would have none of this and continued to struggle for the rest of the day on what called principal. We did manage a decent catch of sea bass and porgies on the GSR(north) inspite of some nasty sea conditions.
9-23-07 I went solo in the mako today and fished for weakfish in the Barnegat Bay. The weakfishing was pretty good and the prize of the day was an 8lb fluke that was weighed and released. The decent fishing lasted until about 10 am and after that it was all bluefish.
9-30-07 I started out looking for bass off IBSP in 30′ of water and found one bass that we lost at the boat and had a few other bluefish before we headed out for some wreck fishing. The wreck fishing was very good with a variety of species put in the box. The sea bass that we kept were a nice size mixed in with a ton of short fish but the porgies were huge and in good numbers as well as a few trigger fish.
10-1-07 I was back on the bay today and had a very good catch of weakfish. All fish were caught on soft plastics in 10′ to 12′ of water. At about 11am I set up on the anchor for some blow fishing and had some huge fish but not many,I also had a good catch of kingfish.
