Took Jr out for a day of chasing bunker. Started up the beach and found some nice marks at the red tower in the deeper water. Put the lines in and was trolling for a little big but could not get a bit. Made a phone Call and once I was off we brought the lines in and headed north. Meet up with Mullica Bob and he was on the pod. Started to work the pod with in and in a short time JR had his first Snag and drop Striper on. We worked the pod all the way to BL and then started to run south to see if there was another pod but there was not and the wind picked up so we headed to the barn with a 37inch striper that weighted just about 19 pounds.

Ran an open boat today with Clyde and Bill. Started up the beach looking for the pods but did not find any. Took the ride all the way to Harvey Cedars. Since we could not find them we went Sea bass on GSS. Hit about 8 spots before the wind picked up and end the day with 6 keepers and had about 15 shorts and one toga. Saw Joeyzac there.

Was Out again with another open boat. Clyde, Barry, Steve and Don for a day of Sea Bassing. Spent the day on LE Reef. Hit about six spots and the shorts out number the keepers but we were about to keep 9 today. Steve was high hook with his red hooks
both in shorts and keepers. the SW wind came in and shut the bit down. Work very hard to get the keepers.

Well It was opening day of fluke season and everyone was out. Had and open boat with Denise and Joel Maza and Joe Galagher and son Brady for fluking. Go to great bay about 7:45 and there were about 100 boats. Started to make some drifts and had a good number of shorts on the line. Well shorts were the word of the day. Ended up with one keeper 19 inches and one bluefish. By the time of 10am the fleet looked like a football game parking lot. Pressure was the word of the day. Gnats were out if force like I have never seen. I had to pull my hoodie over my head to get them off the back of my neck. Bug spray did no even keep them away. water temp was 61 and went 69 by the end of the day.

Was out again today with the John Nutaitis party for some more fluking. Got to Grea bay about 7:45 again and saw that there was a small number of boat. Began working the area and had water temp of 61 again. First fish was a small blue followed by several short fluke and the we had out first keeper of the day 18 inches. The had several more shorts and then the next keep can to the boat 19 inches. Once again followed by shorts and then another 18 inch fluke. The last thing was caught was a nice bluefish. End the day with 3 keeper fluke and two bluefish. Also had no gnats. Thank God for that.
