Today was a trip to the Mullica River to find some striped bass. Water temp was 49 on the in coming tide and once the tide turned the temp went up to 52. On the in coming did not get a nibble, but once the tide changed it was game on for about 2 hours. First Striper of the 2009 year was a clean 34 inch at 15.75 pounds. Next to follow was the smallest striper I have every seen about 10 inches. Then came two more in the 20 to 26 inch range. All in all it was a good day and it looks like LBI is in the hunt for stripers.
Will be running open boats all next week weather permitting.
