We have had a lot of reports of the bluefish beginning to invade the bay, which
means the winter flounderare on their way out. Still some remain to be caught,
mostly in the eastern part of the bay towards the open waters of the Atlantic.
Striper action is also starting to pick up, as water temperatures have really come up with the warm weather we have been enjoying lately. There are a lot of fish all over the bay just waiting for the bite to really heat up and bust open. Anglers from shore have also been starting to share in the success as a few stripers have been being caught, most of these are shorts however. Just a reminder that the current New Jersey regulations call for a bag limit of two fish of at least 28 inches.
