Hello from the crew of the CAPT. DAVE,

Had a great day fishing aboard the CAPT. DAVE and would like to share it with others? If you would like to see your name and your group’s photo in your favorite newspaper or magazine (Star Ledger, Asbury Park Press, Home News, The Fisherman, etc.) just forward this e-mail to them and say that you are a subscriber and would like to see it in print! These publications are always looking for articles, and with any luck you will be in their next edition! Also, feel free to post this message in your favorite chat room or online message board.
Striped Bass fishing this week was a hit or miss situation. We only had one trip and it produced a decent catch of blues. Several other area charter boats who tried did not catch anything. On Sunday, one of the 6 pack charter boats using Gorilla Rigs and wire line did pick a few bass, but that’s no sport. Fluke fishing is very good with a lot of action. Lots of shorts and nice-sized fish are coming over the rail, but 18-inch fish are a challenge. We still have an opening on July 4th to see the fireworks at the Atlantic Highlands Harbor and the Firemen’s Fair will be in town that night. It will make for a fun filled evening for all.
June 12th: Steve Myers, a regular aboard the CAPT DAVE, from Sun Light investments took a group of fellow portfolio managers on an outing for a try for stripers. A solid pick of nice-sized hard-fighting blues for this group. Gary Mould from Paramus took pool honors with a 10 lb fish. Always a great time with this group, see you guys again for fluke.
June 14th: The Casey Systems group from NYC, headed by Mike Magliocco. It was the first time out for this group on the CAPT DAVE. Several drifts at the tip of the tip of Hook, along the beach, the Knoll and the Chapel Hill channel produced a solid pick of fish for the crowd. Mike Magliocco took the pool with a 23in fish using his special fluke rig. Nice going Mike - you have bragging rites ‘till you next charter. A special thanks from the crew of the CAPT DAVE to Casey Systems for their generous gratuity. We try very had to be the best, and when someone acknowledges it, it make us fell good. See you guys again soon - you are always welcome aboard.
June 15th: The Pequannack DPW party headed by David Seuging. There were a lot of familiar faces on this charter from other trips. A little slower fishing on this Fathers Day charter. Drops at the tip of the Hook, the Knoll, the TC buoy and drifts tight to the beach produced a slow pick of fish, but no pool fish. Time was running out, and at the last drift by the range tower, John Diamond from Pequannack pulled the pool fish over the rail. Congratulations John - you worked hard all day and got your fish. We will see this group again on Thursday.
Thanks again for your generous gratuities, we’re always happy to be out on the water with you and we’re looking forward to seeing you all this season!
Best wishes,
Brett Chamberlain
