March 24 Open Boat Winter Flounder Report

Sailed an Open Boat Winter Flounder trip today. Headed back up to the Barney Bay where we had a few bites yesterday… Water temp was 41 on the end of the incoming… But shortly after we anchored we picked a few fish.

Chummed our Butts off, waiting for the outgoing water, water only got up to 43 3 deg colder than it got yesterday.Only picked a few more fish.

We wound up with 10 fish – 9 of which were Keepers. Bob AM Bates was high hook with 4 fish.

Great group of guys and lots of laughs…

The beautiful “Cindy Lou”, based at Sails Aweigh Marina, Mantoloking Road next to the American Legion in Brick, New Jersey is ready to take you to them. All you have to do is put your lines in the water and haul them in.

Right now, we’re rigged for and fishing winter flounder, and looking forward to fishing fluke, bluefish, and stripers during the regular season. We are available for pleasure/fireworks cruises and plan to run part of the season as an open boat. Call for scheduling details.
