Sunday the 2nd we left Cindy Lou at the dock and went out with another Buddies boat. We went out past the Glory Hole and the Chicken Canyon– we hooked up and lost a big Bluefin to the anchor line — we then hooked up and boated a 45lb Bluefin — then a 14lb Bluefish — a great day offshore. Had a party aboard Cindy Lou from the Howell Elks.
They were entered in the Pt.Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament. We didn’t make it in the running. We went south and fished off of Lavalette a few miles out and hooked up with shorts all day + some of the largest skates I have seen in a while. It was the same everywhere we went as we fished our way back to the Manasquan Inlet. We were out with the Cindy Lou yesterday the 18th with the Pat McHale party from the Lakewood Elks. The weather was great — high 70’s on the ocean — water temp showing 73o — a slight breeze out of the west. We started @ the Sea Girt Reef but couldn’t hold bottom with 11 oz of weight so we came inshore to the Essex Sussex Hotel and hooked up with some shorts– stayed there for awhile then we moved to offshore of the Red Church where we hooked up with a few 18in Fluke — Sea Bass– Ling — Sea Robins — Skates — Blue Fish — Sandsharks — and the pool winner — a 22 1/2 inch Fluke. Went out on Monday 13th with the Danny Moran Party on Cindy Lou. As we cleared the Manasquan Inlet we saw birds working over Bluefish right at the end of the North Jetty but we didn’t stop — we went out just shy of Sea Girt reef — stopped and right away hooked up with Fluke (shorts). We then went out to the Reef where we caught more short Fluke and Sea Robins — we then went into the Beach off the Essex Sussex Hotel and hooked up with more short Fluke — Sea Robins and Sandsharks — We then went to the Manasquan Bell and caught dozens of Skates — we had 11 people fishing and everyone had 2 or 3 Skates. We went back to the inlet– more shorts — we then went in the river and more shorts and one 18inch fish.

We went out with a party aboard Cindy Lou on Saturday the 11th. As we broke the inlet there were birds working right @ the north side of the jetty — we stopped and hooked up with quite a few Blues — We then went out to Sea Girt Reef and picked up a bunch of Fluke — all short — 17 to 17 1/2inch fish with the biggest caught by me — 17 3/4. we also picked Sea Robins — Skates — and Ling — We then moved South to Axel Carlson’s Reef — but by then the wind was to strong and the seas were building and we couldn’t see the lobster buoys that are all over the reef (they aren’t fishing high flyers — just floats) didn’t want to risk losing rigs. we went back to the north side of the inlet and picked a bunch more Blues — A Great Day on the Water — anyone interested call 888-227-1167 or go to our website @ www.vikingmarineenterprise.com — CaptRich G
